Eagles Name Frank Reich Offensive Coordinator, Agree to Terms with 15 Coaches
WTXF - The Eagles have settled on their first offensive coordinator of the post-Chip Kelly era, and like new head coach Doug Pederson, he's a former backup quarterback.
Frank Reich, formerly a member of the San Diego Chargers staff, will join Pederson as offensive coordinator, FOX 29's Howard Eskin has confirmed. Reich, 54, has been an NFL assistant coach since 2008, with the Colts, Cardinals and Chargers.
In addition, John DeFilippo, formerly a Cleveland Browns assistant, will take over as quarterbacks coach.
Prior to his coaching career, Reich had a 14-year run as an NFL quarterback, mostly with the Buffalo Bills. He's perhaps best known for leading the Bills back from a 35-3 deficit to beat the Houston Oilers in a 1993 playoff game.
