16-year-old injured in brutal fight at high school in Philadelphia

A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after police say a fight broke out at a high school in Bridesburg Friday afternoon.

A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after police say he was the victim of a fight in Bridesburg. 

Philadelphia police are investigating the incident they say occurred on the 5300 block of Tacony Street at Franklin Towne Charter High School Friday at around 2 p.m.

They say the 16-year-old, a non-student who does not attend Franklin Towne Charter High School, arrived at the school and was then physically assaulted by multiple students. 

He was transported to St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital via medic, where he was treated for minor cuts, bruises, and a possible concussion. He was released from the hospital Friday evening.

Video footage of the incident has been recovered by NEDD, who is conducting the investigation.
