2 suspects arrested in attempted sex assault of elderly woman in West Philly

Police say they have arrested two men in connection with the attempted sexual assault an 82-year-old woman in West Philadelphia.

On Monday, 23-year-old Darius Johnson was charged with attempted rape, burglary, simple assault, risking a catastrophe, conspiracy and related charges. A second suspect identified as 30-year-old Raheem White was arrested Wednesday evening.

The incident happened on Thursday, July 19 when police say the suspects forcibly entered the victim's home on the 6000 block of Sansom Street with towels over their heads. Police say the suspects attempted to touch her inappropriately before running off with some of her belongings.

Sources say fingerprints lead police to identify two suspects from Lansdowne. The car reportedly used to flee the scene has also been recovered.
