Caught on Video: Shop Owner Fights Off Gunman with Baby in Tow

(STORYFUL) CCTV footage that shows the astonishing moment a bar owner in France fought off an armed robber, while holding a newborn baby in her arms, has gone viral since it surfaced on Saturday. One day after the incident took place. Nathalie Leclerc-Pelan, owner of the Bocage Normand bar, in Champ-du-Boult, Calvados, Normandy, told FranceTV that at first she thought it was a hoax.

The video shows a masked intruder bursting into the bar, holding a handgun and backpack. Leclerc-Pelan casually stands up, with baby in tow, and pushes the gunman aside before passing the child to another person in the room. Unintimidated, she grabs the bag and beats him with it out the door, as another person slams the attacker with a stool.

Ouest-France reported that the attacker, 21, was arrested.
