First reported case of mumps at Drexel University

PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Drexel University announced Friday that the school is dealing with its first reported case of mumps.

The school says a graduate student who is living off campus is the patient being treated for the virus.

This news comes amid Temple University's mumps outbreak that has plagued up to 93 students at this writing.

Drexel has urged students who believe they may have contracted mumps to report their symptoms to student health advocates at 215-220-4700.
