Girl, 16, wounded in shooting at Newark vigil dies from her injuries
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a teenage girl shot during a candlelight vigil last weekend has died from her injuries.
Essex County prosecutors say Jayla Green died Thursday but did not disclose further details.
The 16-year-old was among four young women shot Saturday at the vigil in Newark for two teens killed the previous day in the crash of a stolen vehicle. She was shot in the head, while the three other victims were shot in the legs.

The three other victims, who range in age from 16 to 20, are all expected to recover from their wounds.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka called the shooting "a cowardly act of hatred that pierced the hearts of all in our community."
