NEW JERSEY (WTXF) It was graduation day for hundreds of New Jersey State Police troopers and with that came a heartwarming photo of a son very proud of his father.

It was an emotional day for the men and women that graduated on Friday. They were surrounded by family and friends in attendance to celebrate their big accomplishment.

New Jersey State Police shared the photo on their Facebook page with the following caption:

"Graduation day is very emotional for everyone. The men and women that graduated today have every right to be proud. They have put in a tremendous amount of hard work and effort, and they've sacrificed much.

All too often, we forget the sacrifices made by the families and loved ones of our recruits.
