Inside The Warming Store: Stay warm during the Eagles game
From heated jackets to heated handwarmers, The Warming Store has everything you need to stay comfortable while in the cold weather.
PHILADELPHIA - Snow and freezing temperatures are in the forecast for Sunday during the NFC Divisional playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field.
Eagles fans hope it’s good news against the Los Angeles Rams, but they’ll also have to bundle up if they’re going to the game.
What we know:
Justin Silverman, the co-founder of The Warming Store in Manayunk, said they’ll get fans game day ready from head to toe with heated jackets and accessories to root for the Birds in the cold.
The NFL licensed brand is called Action Heat.
"In January especially, with these temperatures, yeah we’re cranking," said Silverman. "Our Eagles heated gear has been one of our best sellers. All you do is plug it in, press and hold the button and it’s going to heat up. That’s going to be the high setting, medium and low."
The heated handwarmer, scarf and women’s jackets are all bestsellers. They also have heated camping chairs, children’s jackets and mittens and even heated headwear.
What they're saying:
Silverman’s son James who is eight years old said he recently wore the jacket sledding.
"It was when me and my dad and my friends went to go sledding. It was really cozy. When I took my jacket off it was freezing."
Local perspective:
Local restaurants and bars are also preparing for the cold weather and the Eagles NFC Divisional playoff game against the Rams.
The owner of Manayunk Brewing Company said fans can watch the game from the main dining hall, jazz room and their heated and enclosed patio that also has a fireplace.
"We’ll have mocktails available for people that are not drinking alcohol beverages, we’ve got nonalcoholic beer available to them and we’ve got plenty of food specials for this weekend," said Mike Rose, owner of Manayunk Brewing Company.
What's next:
Fans are banking on Mother Nature helping the Eagles seal a big victory.
"We’re anticipating an easy win," said Rose.
What you can do:
