High school teams honor fallen Gwinnett County police officer

A part of the Gwinnett County community came together to honor Officer Antwan Toney Friday night

Before taking the field to play, the South Gwinnett and Grayson football teams linked their arms with Gwinnett County police officers in a show of support and unity.

FOX 5 News spoke to one of South Gwinnett's assistant football coaches who helped organize the event.

"We want to do something special to memorialize his life and to bring unity to the community as well," assistance coach Terrance Stover said.

The 30-year-old officer was a member of the South Precinct, which protects the Snellville and Grayson areas.
