Large fire destroys homes in Ocean City, NJ

OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WTXF) - A large fire in Ocean City, New Jersey heavily damaged a row of homes early Thursday morning.

Fire crews responded to duplexes on Central Avenue between 48th street and 49th Street. Flames ripped through the third floor of one home and quickly spread to others.

Fire officials say that four of the six homes involved in the blaze were destroyed. No one was inside at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
