Little boy gives charlotte police officers 'free hugs' and donuts
(FOX NEWS INSIDER) - With all the troubling news coming out of Charlotte, here's a feel-good story that's sure to make you smile.
A North Carolina mother shared two touching photos on Facebook after her little boy decided to send some love to Charlotte police officers.
Deanna Hooker explained in the Facebook post that her five-year-old son, Jayden, woke up Tuesday night and was scared by the helicopters and sirens outside their house.
When Jayden heard on the radio about police officers getting injured during the protests, he asked if he could bring them donuts and give them hugs to thank them for all they do.
Deanna took Jayden to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department headquarters where he - while wearing an adorable "Free Hugs" sign - gave out hugs and donuts to officers.
