Little girl not ready for President Obama to leave the White House, Obama responds

(STORYFUL) - Video of a little girl was going viral for her heartbroken, yet adorable, reaction at finding out that the 2016 Presidential Election meant that current US President Barack Obama was getting ready to leave the White House.

On Saturday morning just before Gymnastics, My Dranbaby found out that our President Barack Obama was no longer going to be our President!!! He has been her President all of her life and Yes her birthday is also on AUGUST 4!!!! My poor baby!!!

The girl, who shares a birthday with Obama, shook with heavy sobs as her mother Caprina Harris tried to explain to her why Obama's time as president was up but the girl wailed, "I'm not ready for a new one," when told there would be a new president.

Harris tried to calm her daughter, telling her they would write Obama a letter.

The video came to the attention of the US President, who commented and told Harris to dry her daughter's tears.

"Caprina, tell her to dry her tears, because I'm not going anywhere. Once I leave the White House, I'll still be a citizen just like her," wrote Obama and added, "And when she grows up, she can get involved right alongside me. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for her letter, and we'll always get to celebrate our birthdays together."

The video was posted to Facebook on February 15 and has received over 2.4 million views.
