Cape May County, NJ (WTXF) A local family is in need after a pipe burst in their home during a very difficult time. Their son has leukemia and is in hospice care.
"I just wanted to bring him home, this is where he should be. He is very, very sick, not much they can do," said Logan's mother, Kate Thrasher.
4-year-old Logan Thrasher beat it once, was in remission. But this time oncologists at CHOP told his parents the cancer had spread throughout his body, his organs.
The plan was to bring him home with hospice care; however, that same day a pipe burst in the family's Cape May County trailer home. Logan 's toys, clothes, his bed, and the families' belongings were destroyed.
Total strangers connected with the Thrasher family in their time of sorrow and need. Local contractors bought and donated building supplies and they hope to finish the overhaul of the trailer home in the next few days Still, the hope is for a miracle for Logan.
