Local holiday meals program set to deliver hot meals to those in need for Christmas

BLACKWOOD, N.J. (WTXF) - Holiday meals are to be delivered to those in need just in time for Christmas dinner in Blackwood, New Jersey.

The Kathy MeGee Memorial Holiday Meals Program will be delivering 400 hot meals to local senior citizens and to people in need Christmas Day.

Volunteers will gather at the Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue at 4 Willow Street. The volunteers are prepared to deliver the hot meals beginning at 9 a.m.

According to the Kathy MeGee Memorial Holiday Meals Program Facebook page, the hot meals will be made up of turkey, ham, stuffing, green beans and dessert, among other items.

Many of the items that help in food preparation are donated. Many local businesses, as well as people, donated the food that goes into the holiday meals.
