Man fatally shot inside car in front of fiancee, two children in Germantown

GERMANTOWN (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot while sitting in the car with his family in Germantown.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday on Abbottsford Avenue and Greene Street.

The 37-year-old man, who was shot five times in the chest, was rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the victim's fiancee and two children--a teenage boy and young girl--were in the car at the time of the shooting.

The victim has been identified by family as 37-year-old Antonio Ashby Baggs of Pompano Beach, Florida. Baggs' aunt says the group spent the last two days driving up from Florida to surprise family members, including an ailing grandmother.

No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
