Man injured in shooting as he walked into a restaurant in South Philadelphia

Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting in South Philadelphia Sunday.

Police were called to 20th Street and Snyder Avenue just before 8:30 Sunday night on the report of a shooting.

After police arrived, they discovered a 40-year-old man had been shot as he was walking into a Chinese restaurant. The man was shot once in the left leg.

According to investigators, the man was transported to Jefferson Hospital where he was placed in stable condition.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made and no weapons have been found.
