Man killed, woman hospitalized after motorcycle crash in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - A man is dead and a woman is hospitalized following a serious motorcycle accident in South Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

Around 2 a.m., officers responded to the scene at Penrose Ferry Road. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported to the hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Police have confirmed that the man and woman were on the same motorcycle.

No word on the cause of the crash.
