Mother of Toddler Found Wandering Kensington Streets Located

PHILADELPHIA, PA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police say young girl was found wandering the streets in Kensington Sunday morning.

The girl was seen walking on the 600 block of East Tioga Street around 6:00 a.m.

Police have described the girl as a 2-3 year old White or Hispanic girl. She was wearing a pink shirt and diaper when she was found.

She was not wearing any shoes.

The young girl was turned over to DHS.

Police were able to locate the child's mother later Sunday afternoon. The investigation is ongoing.
