Motorcycle crash in Wilmington leaves rider, passenger dead

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist and his passenger dead.

The crash happened about 12:20 a.m. Monday on Interstate 95 in Wilmington.

Authorities say the motorcycle rider was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic when his Suzuki hit the rear of a 2016 Toyota Sienna in the right lane of southbound I-95.

The 41-year-old New Castle man who was operating the motorcycle and a 39-year-old woman from Hollywood, Florida, who was on the back of the bike were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota and his three passengers were not injured.
