Motorcyclist killed during alleged street race in Southwest Philly

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - An alleged street race in Southwest Philadelphia turned fatal Saturday evening.

Police responded to 76th Street and Brewster Avenue just after midnight.

A motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Brewster Avenue when it crashed head on into a Mitsubishi that was racing a red Subaru, according to police.

The man riding the motorcycle was killed in the crash. The man driving the Mitsubishi was not injured.

Police say the red Subaru fled the scene.
