Pennsylvania residents fill sinkhole with Christmas tree

Residents in one Pennsylvania town were fed up with a sinkhole that city had failed to fix, and took matters into their own hands.

A now-viral photo shows that residents decided to make that sinkhole a little more festive, by placing a fully decorated Christmas tree inside of it.

"I was upstairs in the attic and was looking for more Christmas decorations and I came upon the tree and I thought that would look nice in the hole," resident Marietta Spak explained of her decision to put the tree in the hole.

Crews eventually showed up to cover the hole with a metal slab, and explained that they had plans to fix it.
