Philadelphia weather: Mild, rainy start to the week leads to tumbling temperatures

An unsettled weather pattern will begin on Monday in the Philadelphia-area, with bouts of rain, gusty wind and roller coaster temperatures. 

Showers will roll into Philadelphia around noon and linger throughout the lunchtime hours before tapering off just before sundown. 

Temperatures on Monday will reach 50 degrees, which is slightly above the average temperature for this time of year. 

Gloomy and balmy conditions will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, with midweek rain showers that will bring gusting winds to some places.

Sunshine will return on Thursday and Friday, but a 20 degrees temperature change will see highs only reaching the mid-to-upper 30s on each day.
