Police: Brother and Sister Wounded in South Philadelphia Shooting

PHILADELPHIA-(WTXF)-Police are investigating a shooting that left two teens wounded in South Philadelphia.

The shooting happened on 27th and Snyder Streets. Police say a 19-year-old female was shot once in the lower back and once in left calf. The 19-year-old is currently in critical condition at Presbyterian Hospital. According to police, a 16-year-old male was shot once in the lower right abdomen. The 16-year-old victim is listed in stable condition.

Police say the teens are brother and sister.

Police say they have arrested a male in connection with the shooting and recovered a weapon on 28th Street.

Witnesses helped police track down the suspect a few blocks away. They say he was in possession of the mask and a gun. No word on a motive. Police are reviewing surveillance video from cameras at businesses in the area to see what led up to the shooting.
