Police investigate burglary at South Philly theatre
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Police are investigating a burglary at a South Philly theatre that happened early Sunday morning.
According to police, the man caught on camera during the burglary at the Theatre Exile was drunk. He is seen on video stumbling with paper towels in his hands.
"They stole a computer, they stole a lockbox that had some cash in it and a phone. They tried to rip the WiFi off the wall," Deborah Block said.
Block helps run the theater on South 13th Street.
The loss of thousands of dollars in stuff couldn't come at a worse time as the curtain is just rising on a new location for the theatre.
"We are just trying to raise money to buy our chairs, our lights and our sound equipment and all the things that will make our business run," Block explained.
