Police: Man, 45, suffers gunshot wound to face in Kensington

PHILADELPHIA, PA (WTXF) - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that took place early Saturday morning in Kensington.

The incident took place around 5 a.m. near 8 th Street and East Indiana Avenue.

The victim, a 45-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the face.

Officials recovered two shell casings from the scene.

The victim has been transfered to Temple University Hospital where he is undergoing surgery. He is expected to survive.
