Police: Man dies after shooting outside of Lincoln High School

Police say they are searching for a gunman after shots were fired outside of Lincoln High School.

It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, the principal kicked out a group of men who were watching a basketball game. That's when in the parking lot, a fight broke out, and suddenly shots erupted.

One man ended up hit in the legs and chest. He later died at the hospital. Police say he also had a gun.

The chaos ended the basketball game and forced the school into lockdown, which was lifted shortly before 5:30 p.m.

The gunman fled the scene. School police and Philadelphia police officers will be at the school Thursday morning and during the day.
