Police: Man killed after being struck by 2 hit-and-run drivers in Tacony

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a 50-year-old man was struck and killed in Tacony Friday evening.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Cottman and Torresdale avenues.

Police say the victim was crossing the crosswalk at Cottman Avenue when he was struck by a woman driving a gray Toyota Camry traveling eastbound on Torresdale Avenue.

Seconds later, a man driving a dark colored Mitsubishi Gallant with tinted windows allegedly made a right onto northbound Torresdale Avenue, striking the same pedestrian.

The man, later identified as Brian Jones of West Allegheny Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene.
