Police: Man sought for attempting to lure, assaulting woman in Germantown

Philadelphia police are searching for a man they say attempted to lure a woman in Germantown, and physically assaulted her when she declined his advances.

According to authorities, the suspect engaged the victim in conversation on Manheim Street on Sunday afternoon.

In an attempt to shoo away the man, the victim said she was 16-years-old. However, the suspect kept pursuing her.

Police say their conversation turned violent when the man verbally and physically assaulted the woman while stopped on the corner of Manhein Street and Pulaski Avenue.

The victim declined his advances and was able to walk away.

Philadelphia police say the suspect is wanted for several other incidents around the city.

Police describe the suspect as a bald, heavy set black man, between 35-42 years old. He is said to be approximately 5'6, 200 pounds.

The suspect was wearing a black jacket, gray jeans, black sneakers and glasses at the time of the incident.
