Police Release Surveillance Video of Center City Slashings Suspect
PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - Police say a pair of stabbings, believed to be connected, took place in Center City on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the first victim was jogging east bound on the 2300 block of Walnut street when the offender yelled something at him. Then the offender charged at him several times and began thrusting a three-inch blade him. When a witness appeared the offender ran off. The victim was treated at Hahneman Hospital.
In the second incident, about 15 minutes later, the victim was walking southbound on the 100 block of N. 21st street when the offender yelled and then cut the left side of his face with an unknown object. The victim was treated, also at Hahneman Hospital, and released.
The suspect is described as a black male. 6'2" in height, in his 20s. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a dark jacket and dark hat. He was carrying a white bag with black letters.
