Police search for Virginia woman they say may have been abducted
PAMPLIN, Va. - Police are searching for a Virginia woman they say may be in danger after possibly being abducted. Officers say 19-year-old Megan L. Metzger of Pamplin in Appomattox County was last seen on Tuesday.
Police describe Metzger as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has a five-inch scar on her right arm.
On Friday, police said they arrested a man linked to the case. Officers say 19-year-old Juan Benavidez II Has been charged with a felony count of arson of a vehicle. Police say they were alerted to be on the lookout for a vehicle driven by Benavidez. When they found the car, it had been set on fire and was completely destroyed. The burned vehicle is registered to a family member Metzger.
Investigators have reason to believe Metzger could have been abducted and may need medical attention.
