Saint Joseph's announces new head coach of men's basketball

PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Saint Joseph's University announces Billy Lange as their new head coach of the men's basketball program. The announcement was made Thursday. Lange takes over from head coach Phil Martelli.

Lange most recently served as assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers. He has more than 23 years of coaching experience in a storied career.

As assistant coach with the 76ers, Lange helped rebuild the team, working on player development.

Lange worked as an associate head coach at Villanova and worked as the head coach at the U.S. Naval Academy. He also was an assistant coach at La Salle University and at Philadelphia University.
