Store raises thousands of pounds for homeless woman who foiled a burglary
(STORYFUL) - On February 10, staff in cosmetics store Lush, in Oxford, England, arrived to work to find they'd been burglarized overnight.
This week LUSH Oxford was burgled. We wandered into our store the next morning slightly bemused, worriedly staring at...
The next day however, Lottie, a local homeless woman, came to the store with Lush's store laptop and a box full of their products.
She revealed she had confronted the man who had robbed the store and retrieved the stolen goods after seeing him exit the building.
Lottie, and her dog Marley, are well-known around Oxford and after her kind deed, the staff in Lush launched a GoFundMe page to raise money for Lottie and Oxford's other homeless individuals.
Speaking out against current government budgets to tackle homelessness in the UK, Lush said "It is our responsibility to speak out, volunteer, become active in challenging these governmental cuts, and the stigma against homeless people."
They have since raised more than £7,000 out of their £10,000 target.
