Tractor trailers collide, one spills load of chickens onto roadway in N. Smyrna

NORTH SMYRNA, DA (WTXF) - A two vehicle crash involving two tractor trailers happened Wednesday morning in North Smyrna, spilling a load of chickens onto a roadway.

According to Delaware State Police, the incident occurred at 3:42 a.m. on southbound SR1 at Exit 119, Smyrna.

There were no injuries in the crash, however, one of the trucks overturned and spilled its load of chickens in the roadway.

As a result of the crash, the southbound lanes of SR1 have been closed to traffic for an unknown length of time and travelers are asked to find alternate routes of travel.
