Veteran's service dog missing in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A veteran with disabilities is hoping for a Christmas miracle after her service dog went missing from her yard a week ago in Northeast Philadelphia.

On Dec. 10 Terry Ruggiero left her 2-year-old golden retriever, Lila, in her RV within a gated yard. When she returned later that night, Lila was nowhere to be found.

Ruggiero found the door to the RV wide open and the gate to the yard closed, which has raised concerns that Lila may have been stolen.

Lila was last spotted near Tyrone Road in Northeast Philadelphia. Lila is described as a loyal companion and very dog-friendly.
