Video shows pickup truck 'turfing' grounds, school district says
GLEN MILLS, PA. (WTXF) - If this truck looks familiar, police in Delaware County want to hear from you.
Police say the driver tore up the turf and caused a lot of damage during a joyride on school property.
School district officials say someone vandalized Garnet Valley Middle School over the weekend.
They shared the photo of a pickup truck on Facebook.
They say the truck was caught on surveillance video "turfing" the middle school grounds around 3 a.m.
"It's the front fields by the middle school field hockey and lacrosse field. It's across that street right up against the school. It's down the driveway near our boys and girls' soccer field. It's on the other side near a public park. So this person spent considerable time doing some damage," Garnet Valley School District Superintendent Marc Bertrando said.
Bethel Township and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
