Wawa wins liquor license bids in Philadelphia, Delaware County

PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Wawa has officially been named one of the top bidders for liquor licenses in Philadelphia and Delaware County.

According to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, there were 22 liquor licenses up for auction in the state.

Wawa claimed two of those licenses with top bids amounting to $186,357 and $160,357.

Those bids were issued for Philadelphia and Middletown Township in Delaware County.

Top bidders have 14 days to subit a full bid payment to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in order to claim the license.
