Eagles fan in search of missed love connection while tailgating at the Linc
PHILADELPHIA - A die-hard Eagles fan is looking for her missed love connection after last Sunday’s game.
Brenna Collier was with friends and among the throngs of fans pouring out of Lincoln Financial Field. Walking to their car she had a flirty encounter with a fellow Eagles fan after the Birds win against the Carolina Panthers.
"He was getting in the back of a 4-door pick-up, Lot S, at Citizen’s Bank Park. He was tall, attractive and had facial hair and seemed pretty nice" Collier said.
She was then taken aback when the attractive man stopped her and said "You are beautiful and you just need to know that."
Collier was flattered, and a bit too stunned to get the man's phone number on the spot. So, the single medical sales rep from South Jersey did what many do to find love, she went online to shoot her shot.
On a dare, Collier logged onto the Philadelphia Eagles Fan Group Facebook page and posted a picture of what she was wearing on gameday along with a plea to that "very cute guy getting into the seat of a pickup truck" read the post.
"You have to think outside the box, and I’m in sales, and we think outside the box and why not?" said Collier.
The post now has more than 9,000 likes and shares.
Comments flooded in like, "An inspiration for a Hallmark movie" and "Pulling for you girl" along with "And I need an update on this prince charming."
"I am definitely looking for someone to watch the Eagles game with but you know if a relationship comes out of something or I meet nice people and see where it goes. I think it’s more about connections you have with people" said Collier.
Collier admits dating life is tough. And although her mystery man hasn’t reached out yet, others have. She’s even getting pressure from the family to find Mr. Right.
"I also wanted to do this to appease my mom and sister who think I don’t put myself out there too much so here we are" she added.
Even if Collier doesn’t find her knight in Kelly green she says it still proves a simple compliment to a stranger can go a long way.
"A lot of people are saying maybe he’s married or taken or whatever…if he is, so be it. I think it was a genuine compliment and just a nice thing to do" Collier said.
