Woman, 47, shot 3 times and killed in Kensington drive-by

KENSINGTON (WTXF) - The search is on for a killer, after police say a woman was killed in a drive-by shooting.

It happened in Kensington, on the 100 block of E. Sterner Street, at about 7:30pm Wednesday. Police say they got a call about a 'Person with a Gun.'

They arrived and found the victim -- Brenda Navarro, 47 - on the street, shot three times in her neck and shoulder. She was pronounced dead at the scene after 30 minutes.

Police had said the gunman was last seen in a green Chevy Trailblazer.

They don't yet have a motive, and are trying to determine if Navarro was the intended target.
