Sixers trade Markelle Fultz to Orlando Magic
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The Philadelphia 76ers have traded 2017 first overall pick Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic in the final minutes of the NBA Trade Deadline.
In exchange the Magic will send Philadelphia shooting guard Jonathon Simmons, the Thunder's 2020 protected first round pick and the Cavaliers 2019 second round pick.
This season with Orlando, Jonathon Simmons is averaging under 7 points a game with 2.5 rebounds.
Fultz averaged 7.7 points, 3.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 33 games as a member of the Sixers.
Fultz' second year in Philadelphia was tumultuous. The 20-year-old was given a starting role, but played uninspiring basketball. In November the Sixers placed Fultz on the disabled list with thoracic outlet syndrome.
HIs final game with the Sixers was on Nov. 19 against the Suns during which he played 7 minutes and went 0-for-2 from the field.
