1 dead, 1 critical in shooting outside West Philadelphia bar

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating following a fatal double shooting in West Philadelphia overnight.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. Saturday outside a bar on 62nd and Market streets.

Police say someone walked up to the bar and started shooting, striking a 27-year-old man in the head multiple times.

The victim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

A 36-year-old was shot in the stomach and also transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where they are in critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
