1 killed, 2 hurt in North Philadelphia shooting
NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - One man is dead and two others are in the hospital after a triple shooting in North Philadelphia just before midnight Wednesday.
The shooting occurred on the 2500 block of North Dover Street, near Huntingdon Street.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting just after 11:30 p.m. and found the three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
A 17-year-old man was shot in both legs and the torso and was listed in stable condition. A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg. Both of them were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The third victim, a man in his 20s, was found with a gunshot wound to the head, and was pronounced dead at the hospital just after midnight.
Police say they found numerous shell casings at the scene, possibly from two gunmen with two separate semi-automatic weapons. Investigators say it may have been one shooter with one gun.
The suspect or suspects are believed to have left the scene in a white van or mini-van.
Witnesses are being interviewed by police.
