1 person killed, 3 injured in shooting at 'residential speakeasy' in Camden
CAMDEN, N.J. (FOX 29) - Police are investigating following a quadruple shooting in Camden, New Jersey, that left one dead and three others hospitalized early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to what they referred to as a "residential speakeasy" on the 600 block of Ferry Avenue around 3 a.m. Police say they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds upon arrival.
"I came outside and there was literally and army of cops," said Ajah Caffin.
Multiple people were detained and all four victims were taken to Cooper University Hospital.
According to reports, Resean McCormick, 27, was pronounced dead shortly after 4:30 a.m. Two men and a woman are among the three victims expected to recover.
"A bunch of girls were fighting and the cops were separating them," said Chaffin. "It's scary because you can't even walk out your door."
Chaffin described the building that the deadly shooting broke out in as an after hours hall that can be rented out. This is not the first time the building has caused trouble.
No arrest have been made and police are still investigating.
