1 taken to hospital in early morning apartment fire

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - One person is in the hospital after an early morning fire at a Northeast Philadelphia apartment complex.

SKYFOX was over the scene soon after the fire started, just after 5:30am.

Many fire crews went to the Atrium Apartments on the 2500 block of Welsh Road, and they had it under control in about 45 minutes.

We don't yet know the condition of the person in the hospital and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
