17-year-old arrested, charged as adult in connection with three Bala Cynwyd car jackings

A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with three carjacking-style robberies in Bala Cynwyd in September and October.

The incidents took place on September 15, 24, and October 10.

According to a press release, during the incidents, a male robber displayed a handgun as he demanded keys to the vehicle, cash, and the victim's cellular phone.

In each case, the victim complied with the robber's demands and the robber drove away in the victim's vehicle.

As a result of an investigation by Lower Merion Police, an arrest warrant was obtained and the robber is currently in custody.

He has been identified as a 17-year-old male from Philadelphia and has been charged as an adult in Montgomery County with armed robbery and numerous related offenses.
