2-alarm fire in Wilmington placed under control, 5 displaced
WILMINGTON, Del. (WTXF) - Crews battled a two-alarm fire in the city of Wilmington Sunday afternoon.
According to New Castle County fire officials, there were no injuries in the fire.
The fire engulfed a three-story commercial building located on the 400 block of Market Street.
Fire officials first responded to the scene around 2:15pm. The scene was officially placed under control at 5:32 p.m.
The Red Cross responded to assist five adults whose housing was affected by the fire.
The Wilmington Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
