2 Georgia children found after nationwide search; teen still missing
NEW YORK (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The two young children who were missing along with their 16-year-old Walton County mother have been found in New York following an intensive nationwide search.
The FBI said there were no signs of 16-year-old Kenyah Edwards, but New York Police along with New York Child Protective Services found her babies, her 1-year-old daughter Shariah and son, 2-year-old Kensharri with their biological grandmother.
Both appeared in good health, but were taken to a New York City hospital for evaluation and will remain in the protective custody.

Their mother vanished with the children three days before Christmas from their foster home near Monroe. Investigators said damage to siding indicates Kenyah slipped out a window and down a garage.
The Walton County Sheriff's Office had been working with the GBI, FBI, and with authorities in Newton County and Brooklyn, New York locations where Kenyah Edwards has family.
Adding to their worries, Kenyah doesn't drive or have a license.
Kenyah and her children were placed in foster care together by Georgia's Department of Family and Children Services.
DFACS interim director Tom Rawlings wouldn't discuss the case but did give a comment about general placement.
"We give youth the freedom that youth are supposed to have when they in foster care and try to make it a home-like an environment as possible," said Rawlings.
DFACS is also working with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to find this vulnerable young mom and her two children
Kenyah is described as being 5'4" tall, about 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the young mother is asked to contact the Walton County Sheriff's Office 6557 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 800-THE-LOST (843-5678).
