2 men sought after stealing car with child in backseat in West Philadelphia; child found unharmed

Police are searching for two men who allegedly stole a car with a 5-year-old boy in the backseat in West Philadelphia.

Officials say a woman stopped at a restaurant on 60th Street and Lansdowne Avenue just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. She told investigators that her young was asleep in the backseat when she left the car running and entered the restaurant.

While she was inside, the two suspects allegedly stole the vehicle.

The boy was found unharmed at 63rd Street and Haverford Avenue. The car was located on the 500 block of North Gross Street.

The two suspects remain on the run.
