20-year-old man dies after North Philadelphia shooting, police say

Police are investigating a homicide in North Philadelphia after a shooting kills a 20-year-old man, authorities say.

Police were called to the 2500 block of Germantown Avenue just after 7 p.m. Saturday for a shooting.

Officials say they found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest when they arrived to the scene.

The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. The man later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police say the investigation is active. No arrests have been made and no weapon has been found.
