3 charged with forging Jason Kelce-signed memorabilia worth about $200K
PHILADELPHIA - Three people are facing charges after officials say they sold forged Jason Kelce-signed memorabilia worth approximately $200,000.
The incident is tied to a private signing event on June 11-12, 2024, at the Valley Forge Casino Hotel.
What we know:

The mugshot of Robert Capone, 51, of Philadelphia has been released by officials.
Robert Capone, 51, of Philadelphia, LeeAnn Branco, 43, of Bristol, R.I., and Joseph Parenti, 39, Cranston, R.I., have been charged with 60 felony counts including Forgery, Theft by Deception, Dealing in the Proceeds of Unlawful Practices, Deceptive Business Practices and other charges related to selling forged Jason Kelce-signed memorabilia valued at approximately $200,000.
Back in June 2024, Montgomery County detectives and Upper Merion Township police were notified that more than 1,100 memorabilia items that were supposedly signed by former Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce at the Valley Forge Casino Hotel, had been forged.
Detectives were alerted to the fraud and theft, by TCH Humphreys LLC, a sports memorabilia company that contracted with Kelce to conduct official signings of memorabilia at a private event on June 11-12, 2024, at the casino hotel. Those legitimate memorabilia items signed by Jason Kelce were verified by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA).
Officials say Overtime Promotions, owned by Capone, and Diamond Legends, owned by Parenti, had offered to sell forged items.
Branco, an employee of Beckett Authentication Services, allegedly ‘verified’ the items.
Of the 1,138 memorabilia items, included signed jerseys, helmets, mini-helmets, hats, photos, footballs and other items.
The items were worth approximately $200,000.
The alleged plan
Upon further investigation, detectives found that the three charged conspired to use Branco’s employee credentials to create counterfeit autographed sports memorabilia. They then offered it for sale as authentically contracted-for products signed by Kelce.
Branco and Parenti both attended the legitimate signing event on June 11, 2024, at the Valley Forge Casino Hotel.
That's where officials say Branco secured a photo with Kelce in order to prove that she was in the presence of the items. However, Kelce never actually signed the items that the three charged had sold.
Capone also attended the event and grabbed some authentic memorabilia while keeping other memorabilia off-site for later forgeries and sale, officials say.
The certificate of authenticity issued by Branco induced the sale of unauthorized, inauthentic Kelce-autographed memorabilia without his consent, causing financial loss for Kelce, THC Humphreys LLC and others at approximately $200,000.
What's next:
The 51-year-old was arraigned Wednesday, January 22. His bail was set at $100,000 unsecured, and Capone was released.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on February 5.
Branco and Parenti are expected to turn themselves in to Montgomery County Detectives and will be arraigned on the charges at that time.
