3 injured after separate shootings within minutes across Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA - The peace that should accompany Christmas Eve was interrupted by gunfire in three separate locations within 10 minutes of each other across Philadelphia.
The first shooting happened around 7:45 Tuesday night, on the 600 block of North 13th Street, in Spring Garden, according to officials. An 18-year-old male is recovering after someone shot him in his lower back.
The second shooting happened at the intersection of Pennway Street and Cottman Avenue just after 7:50, in Northeast Philly. Another 18-year-old male is recovering at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. Officials say weapons were recovered at the scene, but no arrests have been made.
Just a few minutes later, at 7:55, on the 3800 block of Wyalusing Avenue, in West Philadelphia, someone opened fire on a 24-year-old man, hitting him several times. Police rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he is listed as stable.
